Ubisoft have said that their gaming network, UPlay, will be ready for launch soon after the release of the Wii U. The publisher was hoping to have the service ready to roll out by the US launch of November 18th, but president Yves Guillemot has said in an interview that it’ll be ready “soon after”.
“We hope to have a good connection with their systems because Nintendo has been very open to us and allowed us to use our systems to communicate with our customers,” he said.
Ubisoft has added a lot to Wii U’s launch, and is a vital third party for the company, providing two of their major launch titles, Assassin’s Creed 3 and ZombiU.
Guillemot showed more support for the Wii U by saying Ubisoft was eager to support the sale of retail titles and digital downloads.
“It’s a good system,” he said. “As soon as it’s possible, we will do it.”
