SA Black Ops 2 PC servers confirmed

Mweb and Gameservers.com have announced that they will host South African PC servers for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

“The MWEB GameZone team is excited to provide the South African gaming community with the opportunity of playing on local servers. We know how important it is to gamers to have a good latency for titles like this and as always, we are pleased to champion their cause!” says Desmond Kurz, MWEB Online Gaming Manager.

Local distributor Megarom echoed the enthusiasm and excitement for the implementation of the local servers.

“It’s exciting that MWEB recognises the market of online gaming and that they strive to bring these large gaming titles to locally hosted servers to improve the gaming experience for South Africans” says Jason Borea, Director at Megarom.

Black Ops 2 will be hosted in Mweb’s Cape Town data centres. Non-Mweb customers will also benefit from the local hosting, as gamers won’t have the hassle and disadvantage of connecting to international servers.

Black Ops 2 launches today (13 November 2012).
