Nvidia GeForce 310.54 beta drivers released

Nvidia has released new drivers for the GeForce range of video cards, adding a host of new features to some of today’s biggest games.

The 310.54 beta drivers offer up to 26 percent faster performance than the current GeForce drivers.

In anticipation for the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Nvidia also teamed up with Treyarch to tweak the performance to make the new game that much better using GeForce drivers.

There are some other tweaks, as detailed below:

  • Delivers up to 26 percent faster performance in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and up to 18% faster performance in Assassin’s Creed III. (Measured on GeForce GTX 680 vs. GeForce 310.33 beta drivers)
  • Provides smooth, shimmer-free graphics with NVIDIA TXAA antialiasing in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Assassin’s Creed III.
  • Improves performance by up to 16% in other top games likes Battlefield 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and StarCraft II.(Measured on GeForce GTX 680 vs. GeForce 310.33 beta drivers)

The drivers offer a performance boost in various games on the GeForce 400/500/600 series, but work just fine from the GeForce 8 series on up.
