Xbox 720 rumours heat up

19 November 2012

Xbox World is set to launch its penultimate issue this December, and according to the magazine’s pre-release promo stuff, all the details of the Xbox 720 are included.

“Xbox World has been at the cutting edge of Durango coverage for over 12 months. Unless something really dramatic changes, everything we reveal in our penultimate issue will be revealed long before E3 in June,” said Xbox World editor in chief Dan Dawkins.

The article reportedly simply calls Microsoft’s new console “Xbox”, and will introduce Kinect 2.0, Blu-ray compatibility, directional audio, and TV output and input ports.

It also reveals that the secretive console will have an “innovative controller”, suspecting that Microsoft will make a move from the beloved 360 controller.

Other details suggest that the console will feature 8GB of RAM and a CPU that has “four hardware cores, each divided into four logical cores.”
