Guy plays Black Ops 2 for 135 hours

An Australian sales manager has claimed a new Guinness World Record after clocking 135 hours and 50 minutes of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, and somehow not dying in the process. The previous record was held by Canadian duo Christopher Gloyd and Timothy Bell, who played Resistance on the PlayStation 3 for just over 120 hours.

Okan Kaya commenced fragging noobs on Tuesday, 13 November, from his office in Sydney, and broke Gloyd and Bell’s record six days later, on 19 November. The 135-hour final time is not consecutive, however – according to the Guinness World Record rules, mandatory ten-minute breaks must be taken for every hour of gaming, although these can be saved up for a longer break.

I counted it on my fingers, and worked out that, in those six days, Kaya must have slept for only 9 hours. Which probably explains why he looked like this:

Don’t try this at home, kids.

My longest gaming session was 32 straight hours of Fallout 2 back in 2007, and instead of a Guinness World Record, I sustained permanent nerve damage in my right hand as a result. I think the nerve damage is way more impressive.
