Halo 4 DLC dates leaked

26 November 2012

We already knew that Halo 4 would be getting additional multiplayer maps via DLC drops, and now we know exactly when that’s happening, because somebody over at Xbox HQ in Germany accidentally posted the launch dates. “Accidentally”, or a Covie indoctrination conspiracy? Probably just an accident.

According to recon drones over at Halo Council, three triple-play map packs are scheduled for deployment over the next few months, including:

  • Crimson Map Pack (Wreckage, Harvest, Shatter) – 10 December 2012
  • Majestic Map Pack (Landfall, Monolith, Skyline) – 25 February 2013
  • Castle Map Pack (Daybreak, Outcast, Perdition) – 1 April 2013

No individual pricing has been confirmed, but a 2000 MSP War Games Map Pass that covers you for all three DLC releases is already available (and included as a bonus extra in the Halo 4: Limited Edition). The maps will presumably be supported in all multiplayer playlists.

In the meantime, there’s another free Spartan Ops update due out today to keep you busy. Those grunts won’t kill themselves, Spartan. Unless they’re suicide grunts, obviously, but I meant regular grunts.
