GTA V PC petition hits 44,000 signatures

GTA V news

With the news that Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V is only planned for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 for now, PC gamers have grabbed their lanterns and pitchforks and taken to the interwebs to sign a petition.

The petition, which is available on, has managed to rack up over 44,000 signatures, with the goal of accumulating 100,000.

“Please release GTA V on PC,” the petition pleads. “GTA games have been a large part of so many people’s lives and it’s a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform. Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have. I hope you consider the release of GTA V on PC as it’ll make many people very happy!”

Rockstar originally responded to the outcry after the console platform announcements by saying: “For you and others asking about the PC platform, we’re currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don’t have any details to share about a PC version at this time.”

GTA IV was originally announced as a console exclusive, but later released on PC.
