The Skrillex video game is weird

Dubstep superstar Skrillex has released a video game – Skrillex Quest – and boy is it weird.

The game plays out as one part homage to Zelda, and other part a bizarre visualisation of Skrillex’s music.

In the game, you play as an adventurer who has to deal death to weird digital blocks and pixels which have appeared from dust being blown from old 8-bit cartridges. Or something.

You hack and slash your way through the game while listening to the sounds and elegant compositions of Skrillex’s dubstep anthology.

Skrillex is no stranger to video games, having lent his musical talents to EA’s FPS reboot of Syndicate.

If you want to check out the game, head over to the official Skrillex Quest website, and pump up the volume and wait for the drop.
