Proving that there’s simply no good reason to grow up and stop playing dress-up, Russian cosplayer Anna “Ormeli” Moleva has been hired by Irrational Games to appear in marketing material for BioShock Infinite, including the game’s box art.
Ormeli’s cosplay resumé is a who’s-who of video game she-protagonists and femme fatales, including Dishonored’s Empress Jessamine, Mass Effect’s Commander Shepard, and most recently BioShock Infinite’s own damsel in distress, Elizabeth.
“We were so amazed by her dedication and her resemblance to Elizabeth that we decided to ask her if she’d like to be involved in helping bring Elizabeth to life in our box, our key art and our upcoming television ad,” said Irrational boss Ken Levine.
“Today we are very pleased and delighted to announce that Anna is the official face of Elizabeth! We also hope to have her make special appearances at select events as well so keep a look out!”
Damn it, why didn’t I think of this first? Besides the fact that I look nothing like Elizabeth, anyway. But I could totally pass as one of the regular citizens of Columbia, I’m sure. I’ve got this sweet wool coat and a flintlock pistol and everything.
