One of the biggest problems in planning and building a city is deciding where the dump goes. I mean, nobody wants to live next to the dump. Not even those smog-swilling factories want to be anywhere near it. What’s a mayor to do? Build a city entirely made of dumps, of course, and keep that trash out of our nice neighbourhoods.
In the new SimCity, that’s a thing you can totally do. Although it was a feature somewhat unpredictably supported in SimCity 4, the latest game will now let you create regions of up to 16 cities and share services and resources between them.
According to the press stuff, “With Multi-city play, you no longer need to provide all the required city infrastructures in one city. Build a police station and share your growing police force with the greater region. Have your friend build a fire station in a neighbouring city and soon you’ll see their fire trucks putting out flames in your city. Just like the world around you, neighbouring cities support each other through shared resources.”
Just imagine the possibilities – if your Slumtopia citizens show any signs of civil discord, you could simply burn the road connecting it to Edutown. No more books and other dangerous intellectual provocation for you.
