New Dust 514 developer diary showcases complex weapon systems

16 December 2012

Dust 514 has been called “the future of gaming” by IGN – and it’s free-to-play, so if you’re not paying attention yet, you should be.

A successor of sorts to Eve Online, Dust 514 will be directly connected to original Eve – actions taken in one game will affect the other.

In a new developer diary video, producer Thomas Farrer breaks down the game’s complex weapons system, and shows how players can tailor their arsenal for different situations and playstyles. A previous developer diary gave the lowdown on the game’s various vehicles, and it should be safe to expect more updates in the future.

The PS3 exclusive is currently in closed beta, but is set to begin open beta in early 2013. In the meantime, check out all the different ways you can kill people.
