Fallout sequel teased by series voice actor

Fallout 3 voice actor Erik Dellums, known for his work as Galaxy News Radio host Three Dog, has taken to Twitter to tease a sequel to Bethesda’s Fallout.

Details were sketchy, with much inferred – it seems that Dellums may be reprising his role as Three Dog, hinting at a sequel to Fallout 3.

Interested netizens followed up with questions, to which Dellums replied, saying he was given the official go-ahead to tweet a tease, but could provide no details.

Fallout 3, released in October 2008, was developed by Bethesda Game Studios. In October 2010, a spin-off title was released, Fallout: New Vegas, which was developed by Obsidian Entertainment.

Bethesda and original Fallout series publisher Interplay became embroiled in a legal dispute over the rights to the franchise, and specifically the rights to develop and publish a multiplayer online version of Fallout. The dispute was settled out of court, with Bethesda gaining full rights to a potential Fallout Online game.

Bethesda must be up to something – whether it be a new primary Fallout game, or a multiplayer attempt. Dellums’ tweets could point to either of these scenarios.

Bethesda is also expanding their other core franchise into the online arena, with The Elder Scrolls Online – it would just makes sense to pool their knowledge from that development process into an online Fallout game. Read more about Elder Scrolls Online  – Elder Scrolls Online first look.

Bethesda’s Creation Engine, as used to build Skyrim, was a vast improvement to their technology, so it will be great to see a Fallout game built on this tech – Bethesda unveils Skyrim’s Creation Engine.

    Personally hoping for more Fallout 3 DLC. We don’t need a new Fallout game just yet. Before you know it, Bethesda will be milking a new Fallout every year like COD
