The Walking Dead’s first-person game (not to be confused with Telltale Games’ adventure version) has been given a release date. The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will arrive on 16 March 2013.
Activision’s Walking Dead game is being developed by Terminal Reality and will be a stealth/action FPS, as opposed to Telltale Games’ well-paced, story-driven horror adventure.
The game is a prequel to the TV show, and is set in the Georgia countryside focusing on Daryl and Merle Dixon as they fight their way through the walkers and make their way to Atlanta.
Both Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker were confirmed to reprise their respective roles in the game.
Some alpha footage of the game also leaked early. Don’t take it as the final product, but it gives an indication of what the game may be like.
