OpenWeb has announced a limited number of ADSL packages which they say are designed for gamers – dubbed Gamers King.
- Gaming traffic will be prioritised on OpenWeb’s Platinum Uncapped service level around the clock.
- Downloads will be prioritized on the Gold Uncapped service level after hours (19:00 – 07:00 on weekdays, and all weekend).
- Other traffic will be on the standard service level.
The pricing for the packages is as follows:
- 1Mbps Gamers King Uncapped – R176
- 2Mbps Gamers King Uncapped – R226
- 4Mbps Gamers King Uncapped – R396
- 8Mbps Gamers King Uncapped – R496
OpenWeb explained that pro-rata billing will apply for the rest of January 2013. OpenWeb said they launched the promotion with 400 accounts available.
