Despite speculation and rumours surrounding the release of Duke Nukem 3D sequel Duke Nukem forever developers 3D Realms have suggested that the game still may see the light of day.
Although having been in development since 1997 and an announcement by 3D Realms in May that the game’s production had been officially halted, studio executive Scot Millers has shone a ray of hope on the production by prophesising to VGChartz regarding Duke Nukem Forever’s release.
“There are numerous other Duke games in various stages of development, several due out this year. We are definitely looking to bring Duke into casual gaming spaces, plus there are other major Duke games in production. Almost all of these are unannounced” said Millers.
In addition an as yet unannounced “Duke film is making steady progress”.
If this information is to be believed it appears that the Duke Nukem franchise is still alive and well.
