Developers Epic Games have announced that legendary Xbox 360 exclusive Shooter Gears of War is now available for download through the console’s Xbox Live Marketplace.
The game is currently available for download at a cost of $19.99 (roughly R150). No word has yet been given regarding whether it will remain available for South African users.
South Africa is yet to receive official Xbox Live support; instead local users are forced to register accounts in either the UK or the USA. Microsoft’s content restriction policy for outlying territories, which complies with German law, also means that a lot of the content that becomes available through Xbox Live is not accessible to South African gamers.
Despite this South African’s are still able to download most of what becomes available on XBL.
This package does not however feature any of the additional content found in the two disk Platinum Hits edition.
