Xbox 720 reveal date leaked?

25 February 2013

Following the reveal of the PS4, Microsoft’s reply is expected to happen on 26 April 2013.

The news comes from a tweet by CVG associate editor Rob Crossley, who claims that a “trusted source” said that the Xbox event is scheduled for 26 April 2013.

He does note that the date may change, but “diarise tentatively”.

On a related note, Microsoft’s event partner UStechs has registered the domain “XboxEvent.com”, which will expectedly be used as a media hub for the event.

It’s still speculation for now, but it’s looking more and more likely that Microsoft will show the next-generation Xbox in April.

In addition to the rumours surrounding Microsoft’s unannounced reveal event, a senior Sony official, who asked to remain anonymous, said that the company’s PS4 announcement “caught Microsoft off-guard” and they “definitely ruffled some feathers”.

i must admit, im more keen for the PS4, which is saying something
because ive been an xbox supporter since the first one. I mean compare
Xbox LIVE and PSN. have to pay to play online with live, PS is free. ive
tested some games like CoD etc and they both work about the same in
terms of ping/response. however, PS+ offers you so much more in terms of
content. Things that make you want to get a PS+ subscription. Also lets
not forget how many LIVE features we have to use proxies and tunneling
protocols just to get access to, assuming our SA credit cards are even
accepted by them. Ill definantly own both consoles again at some point,
but right now the PS4 just seems a lot more appealing
