Hands-down, one of the most important assets in video games is hair, and AMD’s new tech is delivering the highest quality hair you’ll lay eyes on.

TressFX is the world’s first real-time hair rendering technology in a playable game – Tomb Raider.

Lara Croft’s new adventure showcases this technology to full-effect, as AMD and Crystal Dynamics worked closely together to give Lara the most realistic ponytail in the business.

The DirectCompute tech is also incorporated, and is a real-time physics simulation, which allows hair to react to forces like gravity, wind and movement.

AMD recommends graphics cards that feature the Graphics Core Next architecture, like the AMD Radeon HD 7000 Series, to really see the effects of TressFX.
