Yesterday we announced that one lucky forum user would win a PS3 250GB Slim along with a few games. The first game confirmed was Need for Speed Shift which comes bundled with the console.
We can now confirm that the second game included in the prize package is the much anticipated Darksiders.
About Darksiders
Darksiders is an action adventure game developed by Vigil Games. Heading up the creative process is Joe Madureira, the comic book writer responsible for Uncanny X-Men and Battle Chassers. Madureira is known for his unique artistic vision, combining extreme beauty with monstrous images. Despite its superficial resemblance to God of War, Madureira claims its basic gameplay mechanic is more similar to The Legend of Zelda series.
Players step into the boots of War; one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. When the apocalypse is triggered early War must travel to earth to track down the other horsemen and figure out what caused the early end of days.
As players hack and slash their way through the wasteland that was once earth they unlock a variety of new weapons and moves. The game starts off in a linear manner but quickly evolves to become a combat heavy open world exploration based game. Darksiders has received very positive early reviews, and currently has a Metacritic score of 86.
