505 Games has confirmed that a third instalment into the popular Sniper Elite series will arrive on current and next-gen systems in 2014.
The publisher revealed that the head-exploding sequel will follow the success that Sniper Elite V2 achieved, and that 505 believes in the “extremely high potential of [the] brand.”
Sniper Elite V2 accumulated worldwide sales of around 1.1 million copies, which was a great achievement for 505.
MyGaming’s Gareth Thomas was very flattering of the game in his Sniper Elite V2 review:
“If you are a fan of sniping titles such as Sniper: Ghost Warrior or the original sniper Elite, then this is a must play game, especially on higher difficulty settings without any of the gameplay aides.”
More details on Sniper Elite V3 should follow shortly.
