SA dev reveals RED

A South African developer, Knife Media, has revealed its upcoming title that will arrive in mid-2013.

Titled RED, the game is a top-down survival shooter that will launch on the Android-powered Ouya console, as well as the iOS platform.

RED follows Rick Steele, a blocky hero who has to battle mutant hordes that are attacking his city.

Rick will need to use a variety of weapons and powers to defeat the legions and save the day.

On top of the action-packed premise, the game will feature “smexy cartoon graphics”, perks, persistent player levelling, unique abilities and local multiplayer.

Knife Media is an independent game developer in Cape Town, South Africa, who specialise in mobile, desktop and Ouya game development platforms.
