Resident Evil 6, Left 4 Dead 2 crossover content coming

18 March 2013

Capcom and Valve have announced that the two publishers will be combining their prized zombie IPs in a project that will see Resident Evil content coming over to Left 4 Dead 2, and visa-versa.

The crossover project will see characters from Left 4 Dead 2 be featured in the upcoming PC release of Resident Evil 6, while enemies from Resident Evil 6 will invade the PC Left 4 Dead 2.

RE6 PC players will be able to select Left 4 Dead 2 characters (Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle) when playing the Mercenaries No Mercy mode. The L4D2 enemies, the Witch and Mini Tank, will also be featured in RE6.

In Left 4 Dead 2, the RE6 enemies, the Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman, will appear in the game to offer some new challenges.

The crossover content will be free for all PC gamers.
