Following the announcement of Comic Con SA, more details have been given regarding the ticket prices and coverage of the event.

Event organiser Tlou Ramatlhodi confirmed that tickets would be R150 per person, and details about ticket availability will be announced early next week.

Some MyGaming readers raised concerns regarding the marketing of the event ahead of the 26 – 28 April 2013 convention date.

Ramatlhodi assured MyGaming that Comic Con SA has been in the works since 2012, and given his other commitments and projects, was unable to announce the event sooner.

“We have to protect our clients, so we could not give up any contacts,” said Ramatlhodi, also referring to the question regarding Marvel South Africa’s involvement.

“We intend to give the local audience all they expect from a comic con, including international artists,” added Ramatlhodi . “We at ComicConSA appreciate the feedback we are getting from the community and we will try our best to facilitate this discourse and any other”.

The event will take place from the 26 – 28 April 2013, at the “It’s a house” venue in Greenpoint, Cape Town.

heard from a very reliable source in the the industry…. Comic-Con has admitted that they have NO affiliation to this “Comic Con SA”! I thereby conclude that this event title has been stolen in order to fool fans into parting with their money. Do you really think that the real ‘Comic Con’ would settle for such a crap venue?
