Fast & Furious: Showdown revealed

5 April 2013

For all the die-hard Vin Diesel fans out there, Activision has announced Fast & Furious: Showdown, a new The Fast & the Furious game to tie into the upcoming sixth film.

The game will arrive on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, and will obviously involve racing, however, the game allows the player to switch between roles – driver, gunman, tactician, and daredevil.

The game will feature two-player co-op for a number of action-packed missions, presumably allowing one player to drive while the other hangs out the window as the shooter.

Fast & Furious: Showdown will have “some of the hottest vehicles and race across epic locations around the globe”. Vehicle customisation and upgrades will also be available.

There is also a Challenge Mode, in which players can compete against one another on an online leader board.

There is no EU release date; however, the game is scheduled to drop on 22 May, ahead of the Fast & Furious 6 film release on 6 June in the states.
