It’s official – Godzilla is in Japan, although, he’s rather quiet and doesn’t really move.
The Kurihama Flower Park, a public park in the Kurihama district, features a giant Godzilla, which while being awesome, also doubles up as a children’s play-place.
The Godzilla features a slide running right through its back, giving the giant kaiju a friendly slant (when not destroying cities).
The Godzilla was erected because the Kanagawa park was right where Godzilla came out of the ocean in the original 1954 film.
Another cool feature is that on the beach just alongside the park is a giant footprint, which pays tribute to everyone’s favourite overgrown lizard.
