The past weekend saw the Mweb Online Dota 2 national trials take place, and team Bravado came out on top with 8 points at the top of the table.

The other teams competing played well too, with Energy eSports coming in second place with 6 points, Roccat following in third with 4 points, and Rain Gaming accumulating 2 points and coming in fourth.

The national team selection is still to be ratified, which needs to be approved by the Protea Colours Board, which will see the victors given national colours as well.

The selection  process includes:

  1. Ratification by the Selection Committee and the Management Board.
  2. The Team Captain then advises the Management Board of the two reserves.
  3. Documentation is then sent to the Protea Colours Board.
  4. Only when approval is received from the Protea Colours Board can the Official Award Ceremony and the official announcement of the team be done.

Once the SA team is finalised, they will take on Romania in an official test match between the two countries. Romania is currently ranked third out of 33 countries, while SA sits in 16th spot.
