Razer has announced that the hardware and peripheral manufacturer will be sponsoring the Do Gaming League 2013 League of Legends Championships, offering some impressive prizes to those who make it out on top.
Razer will put up prizes up to the value of R40,000 in cash and hardware, giving the entrants some inspiration when putting their LoL champions head-to-head.
“We are extremely excited about the partnership with Razer for the future of South African e-sports,” said Ricus Groenewald, Telkom Gaming Specialist.
“Over the past four years gaming has become increasingly popular and we did not only experience growth in numbers but also in the general skill levels exhibited by South African gamers moving through the different divisions within the DGL.”
The League of Legends Telkom Do Gaming League 2013 Summer Leg saw 80 teams sign up and the Winter Leg registrations saw an improved number of teams sign up (83 in all), so this season is looking to be even more competitive.
