When gamers are all speculating on something, we need a soothsaying clairvoyant, an analyst of the highest degree, a Nostradamus of the gaming world… he wasn’t available, so we got Michael Pachter.
Pachter has weighed in on the topic on everyone’s mind: how much will the PS4 and Xbox One cost?
Looking at a speculative materials bill of the PS4 ($275) and the Xbox One ($325), Pachter expects the new consoles to cost around $349 and $399 respectively.
Pachter explained that both console makers could subsidise the consoles through premium online subscriptions, but this is more of an expectation than a prediction.
Pachter also spoke of Nintendo, saying that “Nintendo risks losing additional share to its console competitors if the quality and volume of content available for Wii U does not pick up markedly in the near-term.”
How much are you willing to pay for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One?
