Infinity Ward community manager Robert “fourzerotwo” Bowling has announced via his heavily watched twitter feed that Modern Warfare 2 now enjoys 25 million active players. The stats were apparently taken from Xbox Live, PSN and Steam users who have the game installed and are active online.
“..annnd we JUST hit 25 MILLION unique players on Modern Warfare 2. Insanity! Also, got a lot of #MW2 DLC details coming this week! FINALLY!”
It is now known that Infinity Ward has been working on the DLC packs, and that Xbox 360 owners will be getting a timed exclusive. The DLC will be released for PC and PS3 some unspecified time after it is released on Xbox 360.
