Earlier in the week, Ellen Page responded to a question regarding the similarities between her and Ellie from The Last of Us, which caused a little bit of a stir around the interwebs; but Naughty Dog and the Inception actress have shown that there’s no bad blood.

Page’s original answer to the question came during her Reddit AMA; when asked by a Reddit user if she had noticed the similarities between her own appearance and Ellie’s, Page had the following to say:

“I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness, but I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond Two Souls, so it was not appreciated.”

On Naughty Dogs’ side, the developer has previously said that they tried to make Ellie’s likeness represent that of Ashley Johnson, the young voice actor who played Ellie.

“After delving further into the game’s narrative over the past few months, we decided to modify Ellie’s model to better reflect Ashley’s personality, and also resemble a slightly younger teen more fitting to the story,” said creative director Neil Druckmann last May.

Anyway, all is said and done and the world will keep turning.
