Developer Lucas Arts has announced that alongside a special edition of Monkey Island 2 which will become available on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, it will also be bringing the revamped original to the PS3 and Mac in the near future.
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition features two versions of the LucasArts adventure game, namely the 1990 original and a special edition which includes redrawn art and new voice acting. According to Shack News players will be able to switch between the two at any time.
No official announcement has been made regarding release dates or pricing.
The Secret of Monkey Island series is widely regarded as some of the best action adventure gaming to have ever been released and has spanned a lifetime of over twenty years.
