The team behind Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic are currently working on a brand new IP at BioWare Edmonton, according to the studio.

“Most of our core team that worked on SWKOTOR has been together throughout the Mass Effect series, and now our new IP project,” said Mass Effect producer Casey Hudson.

There are no details on what the game may be, but it is being built from the ground up on new technology.

The SWKOTR team has some serious pedigree, as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was an incredibly well-received game which delivered an interactive storyline, solid gameplay, and the vast universe that you’d expect to explore in a Star Wars game.
