Hollywood actor, self-proclaimed video game lover, and founder of Tigon Studios, Vin Diesel has confirmed that the next game in the Riddick franchise is in production.

Speaking at Comic-Con 2013, Diesel said that the team at Starbreeze Studios is reassembling to start development on the next Riddick game.

Diesel did share a few details about the game, saying that it would have MMO elements and include the “merc trade”, which would allow players to participate in the seedy underworld of space mercenaries.

The two Riddick games, Escape from Butcher Bay and Assault on Dark Athena, were praised for their unique gameplay mechanics of using shadows and lighting, while also commending the voice-acting, AI, and strong storyline.
