Rockstar’s Agent trademark renewed

While Rockstar’s secretive Agent title has slipped into obscurity over the last few years, publisher Take-Two has renewed the game’s trademark, which could hint at an upcoming revival of the project.

The trademark was renewed on 18 July 2013, and applies to video games, computer games, online video games, and various printed materials, which highlights the fact that Rockstar North still want to do Agent.

The elusive game was initially announced in 2007 but disappeared after not making an appearance at any E3 or any other big show in the years that followed.

The game is set during the Cold War and will take players into “the world of counter-intelligence, espionage, and political assassinations”.

Rockstar has yet to reveal any details regarding the setting other than the fact that it will be set in the late 1970s.
