Speaking during a recent PAX Australia panel, BioWare producer Cameron Lee confirmed that saved games from previous Dragon Age games will import into the third instalment – Dragon Age Inquisition.

A much-loved trait of the Dragon Age series is the far reaching and varying repercussions of the player’s actions on the game world. Having set the precedent with the Mass effect series, gamers can expect their personal Dragon Age story to carry over to Inquisition in some way.

Lee would not elaborate on just how saved games will be carried over to next-gen consoles, nor on exactly how these saves will impact the story of Inquisition.

Dragon Age Inquisition is currently pegged for a Q3 2014 release for Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Launching in this windows means it will be going up against another dark RPG powerhouse – The Witcher 3.
