While beautiful, Bioshock’s underwater utopia of Rapture has a dark undertone, as gamers found out in the series, but its 1960s-inspired charm is something we’d love to experience, and maybe you can.
Divers have shown an abandoned restaurant/strip-club in Eilat, Israel, which is completely submerged in the ocean, air-tight, and totally dry inside.
The location was known as “the only underwater restaurant in the world” and had to be accessed via a long pier.
It was turned into a strip club and eventually closed down in 2011. As nature began to reclaim the exterior, it has taken on a distinctively BioShock-esque appearance.
