Violent The Evil Within gameplay leaked

Through a preview presentation at QuakeCon 2013, some footage of Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami’s new game, The Evil Within, has found its way onto the internet.

The short but detailed video shows some of the gunplay and creatures in the game – which are reminiscent of Resident Evil’s most ghoulish creations.

There is also a violent beheading death sequence (to the delight of the crowd), which assures fans that there will be grotesque and over-the-top violence to heighten the fear.

The Evil Within has been in development at Mikami’s studio, Tango Gameworks, and currently has a 2014 release date.

The game is powered by id Tech 5 and will be available for Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
