Digital game specials revealed

Dead Island

Digital distribution platforms have announced a number of new specials and deals for the week. They are as follows:

Steam Specials

Steam is running its usual assortment of specials, with this week’s picks including Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion ($9,99), Monaco: What’s yours is Mine ($7.49), and the indie adventure game Chaos on Deponia ($4.99).

Good Old Games is bringing the heat with a number of good specials this week.

S2: Silent Storm Gold Edition is priced at $4.99, while Etherlords 1 and 2 are on sale at $2.99 each.

Reus and Spelunky have also received price cuts, being priced at $4.99 and $13.49 respectively.


GamersGate has a wealth of specials on offer, including deals on the Risen franchise as part of the weekly specials.

The complete Risen Collection is on sale for R124. The collection includes Risen, Risen 2: Dark Waters, and all of Risen 2’s DLCs.

Greenman Gaming

Greenman Gaming has some great deals running this week, including Max Payne 3 for $9.99, and the complete GTA bundle, which includes GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas, GTA IV and GTA IV Episodes From Liberty City, all for $12.49.

Humble Origin Bundle

The Humble Origin Bundle has launched, boasting eight EA games redeemable on Origin (and some on Steam). The bundle will be live for two weeks as of writing.

Bundle Stars

Bundle Stars has complied another great game pack for eager gamers looking for a good deal.

The “Heroes in Conflict” bundle features Sniper: Ghost Warrior, Men of War: Condemned Heroes, Air Buccaneers, Numen: Contest of Heroes, Tower Wars, Dogfight 1942, Chaser, Really Big Sky, Genesis Rising, and Pid.

The entire bundle is priced at R49.


Amazon has the Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition for PC on special.

The game has been discounted from $29.99 to $13.49.

The Komplete Edition features all previously released DLC, which includes the additional characters of Skarlet, Kenshi and Rain, as well as the iconic horror star, Freddy Krueger.

Additionally, the game offers 15 Klassic Mortal Kombat Skins and three Klassic Fatalities (Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile).

Indie Royale

Indie Royale has launched the Strategy Night Bundle for its pay-what-you-want DRM-free game set.

The bundle includes Sword of the Stars: The Pit, Bientôt l’été, Tower Wars, Sentinel, and QRTH-PHYL.

The minimum price is currently $5.49 at the time of writing.

Humble Indie

Humble Bundle is still running its Deep Silver bundle this weekend, giving a mixed-bag of gaming goodness.

The Deep Silver Humble Bundle includes Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third, Risen 2: Dark Waters, and Sacred 2 Gold, and if you pay more than the average, you’ll get Dead Island Game of the Year edition and Saints Row: The Third Full Package, which is all the DLC included.

And included in the above-average price, Deep Silver has also added Sacred Citadel and Metro 2033 to the bundle options.

Pay more than $25 and you’ll get Dead Island Riptide as well.

PS Plus

Sony has revealed its PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection lineup for August 2013. Those who subscribe to the PS Plus service are eligible for the “free” titles as long as they remain subscribed.

Xbox Live

Xbox 360 gamers will be getting Crackdown and Dead Rising 2 (1 August 2013) this month, with Crackdown available on the Games with Gold from 15 August 2013.
