Fan-films can sometimes provide an idea of what big-budget movie studios may be able to do with video game licenses, and a new Fallout fan film demonstrates the potential of the IP.

The film, Fallout: Lanius, was created through the collaboration of a group of aspiring film-makers, with the help and support of Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment.

The $19,000 funding for the film was achieved through Indiegogo, and filming took place in Perth, Western Australia.

The film itself is centred on the origin story of the character Legate Lanius from Fallout: New Vegas.
