Deep Down was first shown off at the Playstation 4 reveal event, and it got the gaming world buzzing as to whether it was gameplay or CG, and everyone thought it would be shown off at E3 or Gamescom.
The game was a no-show, but Capcom has now released the first trailer and details for the game, which will appear and be playable at the Tokyo Game Show (19 – 22 September 2013).
While the game initially appears to a medieval fantasy RPG, it’s actually set in the future, but with an Assassin’s Creed-like twist.
Deep Down takes place in 2094 New York, but the story features some sort of technology or machinery that allows memories of ancient dungeons to be revisited.
The game was also said to be an online multiplayer RPG, although no details were given on how exactly players will play together.
The game runs on the powerful Panta Rhei engine, which aside from gorgeous visuals, allows monsters, items and dungeons to be randomly generated.

That trailer must have the most terrible music I’ve ever heard. Sounds like the intro music for Sould Calibur.
