Deus Ex Universe revealed, next-gen game confirmed

2 October 2013

Eidos Montreal has announced Deus Ex Universe – an ongoing, expanding and connected game world which will function across multiple games.

“It’s a commitment on our part to deliver meaningful content that expands the franchise on a regular basis and to deliver a deep conspiracy that will span several connected Deus Ex games, creating a more immersive and richer experience than ever before,” said Eidos.

It has also been said that the Deus Ex Universe will expand beyond current and next-gen consoles, and be available on tablets, smartphones, books and graphic novels.

In addition to the announcement of Deus Ex Universe, Eidos also confirmed the development of a new Deus Ex game for PC and next-gen consoles, being made by the team behind Human Revolution.

The game will feature the themes of “trans-humanism segregation”, and released a piece of art showing that the “people in this segregated class have reshaped their environment, nostalgic for their ideal of Cyber Renaissance. This dark and dystopian vision sets the tone for things to come in Deus Ex.”
