Teen murders son then plays video games: police

Police have arrested a teenager after he allegedly beat his 4-month old son to death, and then continued to play video games.

The association of video games is hopefully a pure observation of the crime-scene, as opposed to a cause or motivation for the unfortunate death of the baby, but we’re sure some US media will create the causation link.

Willie Brown, 17, is now facing charges of murder.

Brown was reportedly watching the infant in his girlfriend’s home. Neighbors heard the baby crying, until it suddenly stopped, then he was said to have gone and played video games in another room.

Someone else on the scene found Demari unresponsive, and that’s when the police were called.

Demari suffered blunt trauma to the head, a linear fracture to the skull, subdural hemorrhages, rib fractures and healing fractures to other ribs and a wrist.

An autopsy determined Demari died from multiple blunt force injuries caused by child abuse, and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
