SA eSports clan Energy heading to ESWC

Energy eSports has announced that its sending its Dota 2 team to the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) in Paris to compete against the world’s best.

“We are very excited and proud to be able to represent South African gaming on the international scene,” said Alan Spohr, Energy eSports Marketing and PR Manager.

“We have had some great success of late with our current DOTA 2 team who won the Do Gaming Championship at rAge 2013. The team has worked extremely hard throughout the year and this event in Paris is well deserved.  To be able to compete against the likes of Team Empire and Evil Geniuses on an international level is what our players have dreamt about and now we can actually make that dream come true.”

At rAge 2013, Energy eSports announced its new sponsors, including Proline, AMD, SteelSeries, Monster Energy and IS Gaming.

The ESWC begins in Paris on 31 October 2013.
