UK newspaper fooled by Deus Ex tech

Sarif Industries

British newspaper The Sun, known for their tabloid-like journalism, published a short piece on artificial implants in humans, referring to Sarif Industries’ cybernetic eye – the problem being that Sarif Industries is not real.

The company is the fictional evil corporation from Deus Ex, but the people over at the Sun took it as a legitimate company and even used the image of the fake robotic eyeball that is featured in the game’s promotional artwork.

Square Enix did make a pretty legitimate-looking website for Sarif Industries as marketing for the Deus Ex games, so it could’ve fooled a noob over at The Sun – and that’s rather funny.
