According to a report over on Eurogamer, some madman has paid US$38,000 (±R389,000) for a Dota 2 courier.

According to Eurogamer, the courier falls into a class of “unusuals” items obtained through post-game chest and item drops.

The pink colour of the ethereal flame was obtained before Valve patched out a bug with colours and set a pool of 10 colours.

The War Dog courier itself is highly sought after, and there are only five known pink ethereal flame war dog couriers.

All this combined to make the perfect item storm – worth a whopping R389,000.
