Microsoft congratulates Sony on PS4 launch

The next-gen console battle has been in full PR swing this year, and no doubt it will continue for the next decade.

But Microsoft Xbox (or the person in charge of their Twitter account at least) decided to be a good sport and congratulate Sony on its 15 November launch of the PS4. Microsoft will get their turn next week, on 22 November.

Microsoft congratulates Sony tweet

The warm fuzzy feelings didn’t stop there, as Xbox Live Community Manager Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb took to Twitter to congratulate Sony President of Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida:

Congratulations to @Playstation on their North American launch cc @yosp @amboyes

Yoshida replied:

@majornelson @PlayStation @amboyes Thanks Larry, your turn next week! 😀

D’aaaawww. See, we can all get along.

Glad Microsoft are being good sports. I would totally understand if they wanted to snub them after the jabs by Sony starting with that video at E3 about sharing games. Good on you MS!

$ony is the lesser evil. So I will be going for the PS3. But strong competition is essential for us,the consumers. Look what CellC and Afrihost did locally is SA.

Doesn’t PS4 beat xbox one hands down simply because it has to carry a ”SONY” bluray player ????
