Ubisoft plotting new Assassin’s Creed, separate pirate game

According to IGN, Ubisoft has been surveying Assassin’s Creed players on the potential direction of the next game in the series, and a possible pirate spin-off based on the gripping naval combat portions of Assassin’s Creed 4.

For the hypothetical pirate game, Ubisoft is asking survey participants which elements are most important, such as customisable pirate ship and pirate character, hideouts, deep economy, and activities on sea and land.

PvP pirating may also be on the cards, as Ubisoft is asking if players would enjoy sailing and combating with friends and other players.

For a potential Assassin’s Creed sequel, Ubisoft poses questions around: a modern day hero; gameplay improvements (more stealth and assassionation); historical settings and characters; the ability to explore buildings and houses; and the ability to change appearance of cities through upgrades and game progress.

What would you like to see in a new Assassin’s Creed game? Do you think a pirate spinoff game is a good idea? Let us know in the comments.
