Fallout disappears, but hope remains: Bethesda

4 January 2014

Much loved classics Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout: Tactics disappeared from digital stores at the beginning of 2014.

This is due to the Fallout license finally being fully transferred from Interplay to Bethesda.

Those of you who were on the ball may have grabbed them for free as GOG.com conducted one last give-away back in December.

Bethesda has now announced via Twitter that “We’re working to return classic Fallout games (1, 2, Tactics) to Steam and will provide an update when they’re ready to go.”

Obviously no mention of other distribution platforms, such as GOG, but this does bode well for such deals to be renewed in future.

Are you the one gamer on the planet who still hasn’t played the original Fallout? Let us know in the comments below.
