Have you seen the new Shadow of Mordor gameplay trailer? It’s at the bottom of the article if you haven’t.
It’s fairly obvious to any Assassin’s Creed fan that elements of Shadow of Mordor were inspired by the series.
A former Ubisoft developer reckons they were more than inspired though, accusing developer Monolith Productions of stealing code and animations.
Charles Randall was lead developer on AI fighting systems and a senior gameplay coder at Ubisoft Toronto during development of Assassin’s Creed 2.
He took his complaints to Twitter:
