SA game Pixel Boy heading to Wii U

South African born game Pixel Boy is now officially being developed by Giant Box Games for release on the Nintendo Wii U.

Giant Box Games is planning a Steam release in March or April 2014, and then Wii U later in the year.

This is on top of the planned PC, Mac, and Linux version of the game that was recently Greenlit on Steam.

I have had plenty of time with PixelBoy in the past, and I think it’s a great game that will further put South African game development on the map.

When I spoke to developer Dominic Obojkovits during rAge 2013, he hinted that we “may” see PixelBoy on consoles soon – consoles meaning more than one platform? We will have to wait and see.
